You have questions, we have answers!

What is a blog?

A blog, or weblog is an electronic journal that is stored on servers and accessed via the Internet. Most, if not all travelers keep some kind of travel journal, either written, photographic or with video. TravelBlogr now allows you to keep all these different types of journals in one place, always accessible, for free.
What is TravelBlogr?

TravelBlogr is a web based system where you can access, manage and store all of your travel content. By creating a free blog, you have access to all of these free applications and tools to make your trip, and your documentation of it much easier. When you sign up, you get to pick your own URL (DaveSarah@TravelBlogr.com) to send to your family and friends. As you travel and blog, your family and friends can go to your site and see what is going on, where you have been and what your experiences are like in real time! Gone is dealing with lame emails to send your pictures to family and friends, no more waiting for 2 weeks to get that letter from Bilbao and you won’t ever beat that post card home from Tahiti, unless you really want to.

As we grow, you will be able to add and store your travel videos and post them into your blog.

Remember that not only will your family and friends be reading your blog, but future travelers will be looking at your site as a reference for their future travels. Add any tips, places of interest and links that you think might help out the next person in line.

Why did this site start?

For years, the founder of TravelBlogr has been trying to create this site. With a very busy schedule it seems like an impossible task. Somehow, someway he found the time to get it up and running. The site was started with the idea of having an online repository of travel related journals that one could not only access via the main site, but that one could find while researching a travel destination.

Since 2001, the founder has been writing and building travel related web sites with much enjoyment. With TravelBlogr, you now have the opportunity to travel, create and write about any travel destination you visit with much less headache and hassle and all the enjoyment he has experienced.

The founder is still an active traveler and writer, if you would like to see where he is and what he is currently doing you can find out here at his blog.

How can TravelBlogr be free?

TravelBlogr is being supported currently by advertising. Simply put, when you create a blog, we serve up ads next to your posts. In return, TravelBlogr hosts your written, photographic and video content and manages the content management system that you access to build, create and update your blog.

We hate sp@m and you will never find pop ups, pop unders, bogus emails or any other type of annoying attempts at distraction. At some point, we will be offering you the opportunity to pay an optional monthly fee which will allow you to disable the ads and keep your blog lean and clean. Not now, but soon…very very soon.

Can I link to your website?

Of course you can, but with these limitations.

  1. Please to not link (hot link) to any of the images or videos, you do not want to be known as a bandwidth hog! If the creator of a specific blog has hosted the images/videos on another site (Flickr, YouTube, etc) then link away. We do have limitations on our bandwidth and we ask that you respect this.
  2. Banners. We are in the process of creating some fantastic banners you can add to your own web site or blog. Please check back and we will have a link posted to them here.
